Entwässern und wohlfühlen

Spargel macht Lust. Das glaubten schon die Römer. Dem ´König der Gemüse´ wird seit je her eine aphrodisierende Wirkung zugeschrieben. Aber die ´alten Römer´ wussten noch mehr: So beschrieb schon Hippokrates (460 – 370 v. Chr.) die gesundheitsfördernde Wirkung des Spargels. Mit Spargel macht Gesundheit Lust. Vor allem, wenn er mit Petersilie kombiniert wird. Früher war dieser Genuss allerdings saisonabhängig. Heute geht man einfach in die Apotheke. Dort gibt es Spargel das ganze Jahr – und die Beratung dazu.
Die Chinesen nutzen ihn schon seit 5000 Jahren, die antiken Römer beglückten das „kultivierte“ Abendland damit und auch hierzulande ist Spargel seit dem 16. Jahrhundert bekannt. Damals wurde er zum ersten Mal angebaut – bezeichnenderweise im Stuttgarter Lustgarten, so die Überlieferung.
Wissenschaftlich nachgewiesen sind inzwischen die Inhaltsstoffe des Spargels. Sie lassen Aphrodites Werk auch unter medizinischen Aspekten gut dastehen. Die Hauptrolle scheinen Kalium, Calcium und die Aminosäure Asparagin (benannt nach dem lateinischen Namen des Spargels Asparagus officinalis) zu spielen, unterstützt von Vitaminen, Saponinen sowie schwefelhaltigen ätherischen Ölen.

Aber die Lust könnte auch auf einem Umweg zustande kommen. Denn eines kann der Spargel nachweislich: Er entwässert. Seine Wirkstoffe helfen gegen Ödembildung und schwemmen überschüssiges Gewebswasser mitsamt Schlacken und Giftstoffen aus. Der Körper verliert Gewicht. Und wenn sich der Körper leicht fühlt, kommt die Lust fast von alleine. Eine ähnliche Wirkung wird sonst nur noch der Petersilie nachgesagt.
Da die Spargel-Saison nur kurz ist, lohnt sich der Gang in die Apotheke. Denn dort gibt es rein pflanzliche Aquaretika, die auf die kombinierte Kraft von Spargel und Petersilie setzen (Asparagus-P von Grünwalder).
Die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Ernährungsmedizin und Diätetik warnt vor Diuretika, weil sie dem Körper Elektrolyte entziehen. Das trifft jedoch nicht auf Asparagus zu. Der Grund: Die pflanzliche Kombination enthält Mineralstoffe, Vitamine und Spurenelemente und entfernt nur überschüssige Flüssigkeit. Der Elektrolythaushalt bleibt intakt. Man bezeichnet dieses Wirkprinzip – in Abgrenzung zu den synthetischen Diuretika – daher als Aquarese. Der Körper fühlt sich nicht schlapp, sondern anhaltend wohl. Außerdem binden die Wirkstoffe schädliche Schwermetalle wie Quecksilber und Blei, die über die Niere einfach ausgeschieden werden.
Das alles wussten die Römer zwar nicht, aber sie müssen wohl geahnt haben: Ein leichter, entschlackter Körper macht Lust.

- aktivieren den Eiweiß-, Kohlenhydrat- und Fettstoffwechsel

- aktivieren das Zellwachstum, stärken dadurch besonders Bindegewebe, Haut und Haare
- erhöhen die Widerstandskraft der Schleimhäute
- helfen bei Gedächtnisschwäche und Konzentrationsmangel
- wirken allgemein „nervenstärkend“
- lindern Nachtblindheit und Sehschwäche
